Brief CV
Carmen Touza Garma holds a PhD in Psychology, and is a senior lecturer in the Department of Pedagogy and Specific Didactics at the University of the Balearic Islands. Currently, she is the Pro Vice-Chancellor for Student Affairs.
She has taught on the Bachelor's Degree in Social Education and the Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, on the Master's Degree in Socioeducational Intervention with Children, Adolescents and Families, and on the PhD in Education, amongst other programmes. As a lecturer, she has been accredited with five separate five-year teaching periods.
A member of the Education and Citizenship Research Group (EIC), her research work mainly focuses on family violence, with special emphasis on child abuse and the detection of elder abuse, and on academic integrity. As a researcher, she has participated in competitive projects on both socioeducational interventions with families and academic integrity, and has been accredited with three individual six-year research periods of excellence by the Spanish National Commission for Research Evaluation (CNEAI).
In the past, she was Deputy Dean for Equality, Sustainability, Mobility and Cultural Activities, and University Outreach at the Faculty of Education, and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Art.
