Carlota Vicens Pujol took a Doctor's degree in Romance Philology at the University of Barcelona (2000). Previously she had obtained the Degree of Romance Philology (French) at the University of Barcelona and the Degree of Lettres Modernes at the Université Paul Valéry of Montpellier. She is Associated profesor in the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB). She teaches French language and French literature in undergraduate program (Grado) and comparative literatura in postgraduate programs (Master).
She has focused his research and publications in French literature of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries (especially she is interested in the work of Albert Cohen), in comparative literature and travel writing. On the latter subject she has in recent years organized three international symposia. She has also participated in three research projects and I+D. She has also participated in three R+D+I Research Projects of the Secretary of State for Universities and Research of the MEC and another two financed by the University of Almería. She has two recognized research periods (2014-2018 and 2019-2023). Shee has made stays at the following Research Centers: Centre de recherches sur la littérature de voyages- La Sorbonne; Centre d'Histoire Culturelle des sociétés contemporaines - Paris Saclay; Institute of Anthropology and Humanities of the CSIC.
