Brief CV

Jaume Ramis Bibiloni received the Engineer of Telecommunication degree from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in 1997 and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the Universitat de les Illes Balears (UIB), Spain, in 2012.
Since 2002 he has held several positions at the Department of Mathematics and Informatics of the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) and at this moment he is an Associate Professor of this Department.
His current research interests are wireless personal communication systems, with particular emphasis on Wireless Body Area Networks (WBANs). He is author of articles in international journals on this topic as well as of communications to international conferences, and he was a co-recipient of the Best Paper Award at the IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference 2009-Spring.
He has been involved in projects concerned with Wireless LAN (WLAN) design, funded by the Spanish and Balearic Islands governments (MARIMBA, XISPES, COSMOS, AM3DIO, ELISA and TERESA).
