Jesús Molina Mula is a senior lecturer at the University of the Balearic Islands since 2013.
He is a Doctor (PhD) in Biosociosanitary Sciences from the University of the Balearic Islands (2013). He has a Diploma in Nursing and a Degree in Documentation Sciences, a Master's Degree in Research Methodology in Health Sciences from the University of Huelva, in Medical Sciences and Health Sciences from the University of the Balearic Islands and in Bioethics from the University of Murcia.
He has obtained a six-year research period accredited by the National Commission for the Evaluation of Research Activity of Spain (CNEAI). He has directed more than 30 master's final projects (Master in Bioethics from the International University of Valencia, Master in Research in Health and Quality of Life from the University of the Balearic Islands and Master in Advanced Practice from the University of Cádiz) and is directing six Doctoral theses (PhD) currently on the PhD program in Translational Research in Public Health and Highly Prevalent Diseases and the PhD in global health, health services and social and health care at the University of the Balearic Islands.
He is a University Expert in Urgencies and Emergencies in Basic and Advanced Life Support Instructor by ERC. He is editor of NURE-Investigación ISSN: 1697-218X. Editorial board of the journals 'Ethics of care' (ISSN: 1988-7973). Reviewer of the Journal, Reviewer of the International Journal Environmental Research and Public Health (Q1 in JCR), Nursing Inquiry (Q2 of JCR,), Nursing Applied Research (Q2 in JCR), of the International Journal of Qualitative Methods (Q1 in JCR ) among other. Director of the training and research project between the UIB, the National University of La Plata and the Argentine Foundation for the Advancement of Nursing. Director of the Balearic Nursing Research Group on Drug Addiction (GIBED).
He has been a Collaborating Investigator in various projects funded by the ISCIII on the elderly, communication with critical care patients, drug addiction and evidence-based clinical practice. He was hired as Prometeo-Researcher level 1 of the Government of Ecuador of the National Secretariat of Higher Education, Science and Technology (SENESCYT) during 2015 to promote research in Health and evaluate the country's national public health system.
He is a professor of the Master's Degree in Research Methodology in Health Sciences (Universidad de Huelva), the Master's Degree in Advanced Practice Nursing (Universidad de Cádiz), the Master's Degree in Bioethics (VIU) and the Master's Degree in Research in Health and Quality of Life of the UIB. He is the academic coordinator and professor of the UIB University Expert in Geriatric Care and Gerontology and of the UIB University Expert in Health Services Management.
He has more than 30 publications in Impacto JCR journals and more than 15 in journals indexed in Scopus on Bioethics, Interprofessional Relations, Drug Addiction, Emergencies and Nursing Care. Speaker at National and International Health Research Conferences. President and member of various scientific committees and organization of National and International Congresses.
He is the author of more than 8 complete books and more than 50 chapters of professional and research books with publishers such as Cambridge Scholars Publishing, FUDEN, Tecnos-ANAYA and Proteo on research methodology, public health, bioethics among others.
He has received different distinctions and research awards. In 2014, the National Research Award for Metas with the work entitled: Improving Care for alcoholic and drug-addicted patients from an ethical and mental health perspective'. In 2013, the Queen Sofía International Award against Drugs in Research and Essay in 2013 for the work entitled: 'Assessment of professional attitudes and knowledge regarding alcohol and drug addict care' and in 2021 received the Outlanding Reviewer 2020 International Award from the Healthcare journal (Q3 in JCR).
