Brief CV
BA (1989) and PhD (1993) in biology from the University of Barcelona. I did my PhD at the Carnegie Institution of Washington at Stanford University (California, USA) under the direction of Dr. Joseph A. Berry. Fulbright Postdoctoral Fellow at Duke University (North Carolina, USA). Associate professor at the University of Navarra and researcher at the Carnegie Institution of Washington in Stanford University (California, USA). I joined the University of the Balearic Islands in 2002 under the Ramón y Cajal program to become Associate Professor in the Department of Plant Physiology in 2011.
My main research interest is focused on the study of plant respiration for which we designed an oxygen isotope technique unique in the world which has been settled at the Sereveis Científico-Tècnics of our University.
