Brief CV

University Professor in the area of Condensed Matter Physics. His research encompasses the physics of polymers and biological macromolecules, as well as the development of growth models and the formation of non-equilibrium structures with applications to ecology and biophysics. Currently staff member of the Physics Department at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) and researcher at the Institute for Cross-Disciplinary Physics and Complex Systems IFISC (UIB-CSIC). Member of the Spanish Royal Physics Society and the Institut Menorquí d'Estudis. He is currently part of the IUPAP G21 working group tasked to identify, promote, engage, and discuss the unique role that physics is and should be playing in environmental risk reduction and sustainable, efficient and fair development.
