Curriculum

Brief CV

The general field of research that I have developed in recent years is related to population genetics and evolution, as human populations (especially the human population of the Balearic Islands), genetic diseases (hereditary hemochromatosis, porphyria variegata, beta-thalassemia, Crohn disease); or organisms such as Drosophila (population dynamics of mitochondrial DNA haplotypes in Drosophila subobscura); virus (population dynamics of RNA viruses, particularly hepatitis C in patients coinfected with HCV-HIV); mollusc parasites (genera Martelia and Perkinsus) or lizards (phylogeography of Podarcis lilfordi and Podarcis pityusensis, Balearic endemic lizards, among others).Currently, I also participate in research related to population dynamics and evolution of the intestinal microbiota of animals and humans.
