The group also belongs to the University Institute for Research in Health Sciences (IUNICS) and is integrated into the Research Network on Chronicity, Primary Care and Health Promotion (RICAPPS), one of the Results-Oriented Cooperative Research Networks in Health (RICORS) of the Carlos III Institute, of the Ministry of Health and its lines of research focus on the epidemiology, diagnosis and treatment of affective and anxiety disorders in Primary Care, as well as the comorbidity of these disorders with non-psychopathological diseases .

She has been and is the main researcher or collaborator in different European, national and regional projects. He currently directs the research "Evaluation of the implementation of an online psychological therapy program for the treatment of depression in primary care: Study with hybrid design." She has published more than 150 articles in indexed international journals and has participated in important national and international conferences, as well as being invited as a speaker to disseminate the results of the projects in which she participates.

He has carried out different stays in prestigious research centers, among which the one carried out for a year in the Department of Psychiatry of the University of Cambridge stands out. He is a member of the Editorial Board of a journal indexed in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) and of the editorial board of a journal indexed in Latindex.

In transfer activities, the IP shares the intellectual property registration of the online psychotherapy program Smile is fun, designed for the treatment of mild and moderate depression in Primary Care.
