PhD in Psychology. Professor of Social Psychology in the Department of Psychology at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB). Coordinator of the research group 'Highly prevalent mental disorders in Primary Care', a consolidated group of the Research Institute of the Balearic Islands (IDISBA), accredited by the Carlos III Health Institute. The group also belongs to the University Institute for Research in Health Sciences (IUNICS) and is integrated into the Research Network on Chronicity, Primary Care and Health Promotion (RICAPPS), one of the Results-Oriented Cooperative Research Networks in Health (RICORS) of the Carlos III Institute, of the Ministry of Health and its lines of research focus on the epidemiology, diagnosis and treatment of affective and anxiety disorders in Primary Care, as well as the comorbidity of these disorders with non-psychopathological diseases .
She has been and is the main researcher or collaborator in different European, national and regional projects. He currently directs the research "Evaluation of the implementation of an online psychological therapy program for the treatment of depression in primary care: Study with hybrid design." She has published more than 150 articles in indexed international journals and has participated in important national and international conferences, as well as being invited as a speaker to disseminate the results of the projects in which she participates.
He has carried out different stays in prestigious research centers, among which the one carried out for a year in the Department of Psychiatry of the University of Cambridge stands out. He is a member of the Editorial Board of a journal indexed in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) and of the editorial board of a journal indexed in Latindex.
In transfer activities, the IP shares the intellectual property registration of the online psychotherapy program Smile is fun, designed for the treatment of mild and moderate depression in Primary Care.
She has been dean (2016-2019) and Vice-dean (2019-2024) of the Faculty of Medicine; Secretary of the Department of Psychology (2013-2017); Member of the evaluation commission for the creation of the Institute of Educational Research and Innovation (Irie) of the University of the Balearic Islands (2012-2013); Deputy Director of the Department of Psychology (2007-2012); Director of the University Institute for Research in Health Sciences (IUNICS) (2004-2006); General Secretary of the University (2000-2003). Secretary of the Department of Psychology (1997-2000).
