Jordi Llabrés Bordoy (Palma, 1969) is a professor of Childhood Behavioural Therapy in the area of Personality, Evaluation and Psyhcological Treatment of the Department of Psychology of the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), where he received his PhD in Psychology in 2000.
His research has always been related to the application of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to Behavioral Therapy, such as designing software for the evaluation of sustained attention in children with Attention Deficit Disorder, evaluating the efficacy and efficiency of a computer-assisted treatment program for fear of flying, and prevention of anxiety-related problems in the adolescent population through social networks. In the last 25 years, he has participated in 20 research projects funded in competitive calls and has collaborated in the publication of more than 50 scientific papers.
He has taught subjects related to behavior modification techniques and the application of ICT to clinical psychology. He has also coordinated the external internships programs of the Department of Psychology for several years.
In addition, he has participated in different innovation projects such as the design of a computer-aided gardening training program for the Esment Foundation, an on-site intervention program through computer-aided exposure applied at the airport of Palma in collaboration with Air Europa, as well as tSalut, an award-winning project for the best business plan in the humanities sector in the 1st competition for university entrepreneurs of the Fundació Universitat Empresa de les Illes Balears (FUEIB).
Among his management roles, he was secretary and director of the Department of Psychology and vice-rector of Innovation at the UIB. He is currently leading the Behaviour and Technology Laboratory
