Dr. Vicente Ramos (Spain), economist, PhD in Economics, and full professor at the University of the Balearic Islands' Department of Applied Economics.After graduating from the Master in Economics of Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona) his research interests covered different topics in Tourism from labour market, demand modelling, seasonality and tourism segments and intermediaries. Since his PhD in Economics in 2003, he has published 39 articles in journals ranked in the Journal Citation Report (including Journal of Econometrics, Annals of Tourism Research, Journal of Travel Research and Current issues in Tourism) and has participated in around 30 international and a dozen national conferences. At web of Science he has 653 citations and an H-index of 14. He has extensive teaching experience in tourism, including both graduate and postgraduate courses in various countries on tourism economics, tourism research and tourism planning and competitiveness. He is concil member of the International Association for Tourism Economics and member of the editorial board of the JCR journals: Tourism Economics and International Journal of Tourism Research. He has 3 research terms (sexenios) recognized by the Comisión Nacional Evaluadora de la Actividad Investigadora (CNAI) ANECA
