Brief CV

Murcia 1971. PhD in Procedural Law from the University of the Balearic Islands (1999). She was a scholarship holder for Research Staff Training from the Ministry of Education and Science, assistant lecturer, assistant professor and interim professor until 2004, when she became a full university professor at the UIB.

She has lectured in all the subjects of the Procedural Law area of the Law degree, where she has extensive experience and has led teaching innovation projects. She has also lectured on undergraduate and postgraduate UIB degrees, including Expert Degree in Mediation in Civil and Commercial Matters and on the Master's Degree in Tourism Contracts.

She was awarded a 12-month Postdoctoral Research Fellowship (currently Salvador de Madariaga Fellowships) at the Institut für Telecommunications und Medienrecht at the University of Munster (Germany). He has also carried out research stays at the Institut für Zivilprozessrecht at the University of Bonn (Germany) and at the Istituto di Diritto Processuale Civile of the Facoltá di Giurisprudenza of Pavia (Italy).

Her research interests include the enforcement process, the jurisdictional protection of women against gender violence, Artificial Intelligence and blockchain technology applied to procedural law, the protection of air passengers' rights, and the defence of the fundamental rights of the accused in criminal proceedings. He has several single-authored monographs, numerous book chapters and journal articles on these subjects.

She has taken part in nine national competitive projects as a full-time researcher on subjects such as the comprehensive treatment of gender violence, the reform of civil and criminal justice, the new insolvency regulations and transport as an economic and social driving force. She has also been Principal Investigator of a research project awarded by the Ministry of Science and Technology on the interdisciplinary study of the regulations on the investigation of air accidents. For the last 5 years she has been a member of an important international and interdisciplinary research group on air law.

She has served as a substitute Justice in the criminal sections of the Court of Appeals of the Provincial Court. She has taught courses to Justice Administration Staff. Since 2014 she has actively participated with EUROCONTROL, COPAC, ENAIRE and APROCTA in courses and conferences aimed at training judicial experts and judges and justices in the field of aviation law.

He is a member of the Asociación de Profesores de Derecho Procesal de las Universidades Españolas, the Instituto Iberoamericano de Derecho Procesal, the Asociación Española de Derecho Aeronáutico y Espacial and the Asociación Latinoamericana de Derecho Aeronáutico y Espacial. In December 2020 she was awarded the Gold Medal of the latter association for her work in the study and dissemination of air law.

She has been Director of the Private Law Department (2004/2008). During this period she was a member of the Electoral Committee and the Research Committee, as well as the Committee for the elaboration and design of the Law Degree (CED de Dret).
