Full Professor of Public International Law. Law degree with honours (1995) and Phd in Law (2000). LLM in EU Law, College of Europe (1996). I have participated as a researcher in 6 competitive national research projects in the field of international law. Holder of a Jean Monnet Chair in European Union Law awarded by the European Commission (2006-2010). I have carried out research stays for a period of 15 months at the European University Institute in Florence, at the universities of Cambridge and Oxford and at the University of Munster. Since 2007, I have been evaluator of research projects, scholarships and grants of the Agencia Catalana de Gestió d'Ajusts Universitaris (AGAUR), research project evaluator for the Spanish Research Agency and member of the selection committee of the INPhINIT Doctoral Fellowship Retaining awarded by La Caixa Foundation. Peer reviewer of the Revista Española de Derecho Internacional, Revista General de Derecho Europeo, Revista Española de Derecho Europeo, Revista de Derecho Comunitario Europeo, Revista Electrónica de Estudios Internacionales, Spanish Yearbook of International Law and Revista de Estudios Autonómicos y Federales. Since 2000, I have been the tutor of different Erasmus mobility agreements with 15 European universities. For 6 years, I have organized, together with the Spanish Institute of Strategic Studies, seminars on security and defense thanks to the award of a competitive grant from the Ministry of Defense. In 2010 and 2012, the Committee of the Regions of the European Union appointed me member of the jury of the award for the best doctoral thesis defended in European universities on regional issues organized by this EU body. Essay Prize awarded by the Government of Japan for a study visit to Japan (1999). Author of different books, book chapters and doctrinal studies on international law and European Union law.
