Miquela Forteza Oliver holds a PhD in Art History from the University of the Balearic Islands (2005) and has been a lecturer at the same university since 1998. Her thesis La xilografía en Mallorca a través de sus colecciones. La Imprenta Guasp (1576-1958) (Olañeta, 2007) (Olañeta, 2007), highlighted the historical and patrimonial importance of the Guasp Collection, contributing to its declaration as a Cultural Heritage and its legal recognition as a museum collection by the Consell de Mallorca. This line of research has given rise to numerous publications, including books, articles and papers at specialised congresses, thus consolidating his contribution to the study and preservation of graphic and printed heritage. She has also developed other lines of work oriented in the study, scientific advice and dissemination in the conservation of religious artistic heritage and in the management and analysis of heritage and cultural tourism. In this context, she is principal investigator of the Cultural Tourism Laboratory of the University of the Balearic Islands (CULTUR LAB). It has three six-year periods of research and five periods of teaching.
