Brief CV

José L. Groizard has a degree in Economics and Business Administration and holds a PhD in International Economics and Development from the Complutense University of Madrid. He is currently Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Economics of the UIB and teaches on various subjects related to Macroeconomics. He has been a researcher and visiting professor at many foreign universities, among which the University of Oxford and the University of California, Irvine. His research is framed in the field of International Economics, Growth and Development. In this sense leads the Research Group in International Economics at the UIB. His works have been published in prestigious international journals such as European Economic Review, Economic Inquiry, The World Economy, Journal of Development Studies, and national journals with large impact. He has also edited several books on the effects of globalization on economic development.
