Brief CV
Margalida Capellą i Roig has developed her teaching and research activities mainly in the field of the University of the Balearic Islands. She has worked as a teacher since 1997 in the area of Public International Law and International Relations at this University, gradually occupying the professional categories of assistant, doctoral assistant and doctoral contracted professor. She is currently full professor of public international law (2022). She has taught and is currently teaching undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate and doctoral studies at the UIB.
She has been awarded a doctor's degree in 2002 and has carried out her research activity in the field of International Criminal Law and International Human Rights Law, developing her training with several stays at research centers abroad (Paris, Cambridge, Strasbourg, Cuba).
She has combined her teaching and research activities with various positions at the UIB (Deputy Director of the UIB Security and Police Science Graduate Program, Head of vulnerable groups at the UIB Equality Office) President of the workers' Committee) and has been a member of the Balearic Parliament (2015-2017). She is currently director of the Legal Clinic of the UIB and also director of the LIDIB (Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Rights and Freedoms of the Balearic Islands - Human Rights Lab). She has been President of the Teaching and Research Staff Board of the University of the Balearic Islands since May 2023.
