Brief CV
I am currently an Associate Professor at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB). My research lies at the intersection between strategic entrepreneurship and family business. I am particularly interested in how entrepreneurial firms make decisions and eventually act. My research aims to better understand how certain family firms' factors influence the decision process and how they interact with economic rationality. I am currently researching the topics of time orientation, non-economic goals, entrepreneurial orientation, innovation, sustainability and internationalization in family businesses.
My research has been presented at the leading entrepreneurship and family business conferences and has also been awarded the prestigious Family Owned Business Institute research award in 2013, Best Doctoral Contribution Award in the 2014 Family Enterprise Research Conference and Best Paper Award in the 2015 Irish Academy of Management.
I joined academia with a strong industry background having worked as a Project and Operations Manager for Microsoft Ireland for over seven years.
