Dr. Trujillo-Rodríguez got her BS in Chemistry (Environmental chemistry) in 2012 at Universidad de La Laguna (Spain) obtaining the best academic record of her promotion, and her MSc at Research in Chemistry (Food and Environmental Analysis) in 2013 at the same university. She got her PhD in Chemistry (International Mention) in 2017 under the supervision of Dr. Verónica Pino and Dr. Ana M. Afonso (Universidad de La Laguna), obtaining the Award of the Best PhD Thesis in Sciences in Universidad de La Laguna in the academic year 2016-2017, and the Award of the Best PhD Thesis of the Chemistry Section (Faculty of Science, Universidad de La Laguna) in 2019.
Regarding her research activity, Dr. Trujillo-Rodríguez has 6 years of research experience and she has published in journals of high impact in the Analytical Chemistry area, including Anal. Chem., Anal. Chim. Acta, Anal. Bioanal. Chem., J. Chromatogr. A, and Talanta, and book chapters in important editorials, such as Wiley. These publications have generated over 550 citations and a h-index of 12 (Google Scholar).
Her research lines have been focused on the development of analytical methods using ionic liquids for environmental and food analysis. Dr. Trujillo-Rodríguez also has expertise in the use of chromatographic techniques (gas chromatography and liquid chromatography), mass spectrometry and atomic absorption spectroscopy. During the development of her professional activities, she has interacted with over 40 collaborators and/or co-authorship of scientific papers.
As researcher, she has collaborated in 7 different projects, and she has worked in different labs, including GIN-QAAMA lab (Universidad de La Laguna), from 2011-2017, and Dr. Anderson's lab (Iowa State University, USA) from 2017-2019. She is currently working in FI-TRACE lab at Universitat de les Illes Balears (Spain), position got in April 2019.
In addition, she got the first award in the SPME user club (Sigma-Aldrich, S.A.) in 2014, and she was qualified as Associate Professor by the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA) of Spain in 2018.
