Study path:
- Degree in Biology (2011-2014) and Master Degree (2014-2017) in Eco-Biology at the University 'La Sapienza' in Roma
- 1 year internship (2016-2017) in the AgriColture and AgriFood Canada (AAFC) research center in Ottawa, working on using Ultra-conservative elements on the solitary bees of the genus Nomada
- Won 'Formacion para Investigadores' grant to apply to the PhD program 'Biomedical and Evolutionary Biotecnology' (RD99) in 'Universitat de les Illes Balears' (2018-). Title of the PhD thesis 'Analisis genético y genomico de anfipodos del género Hyalella (Crustacea) en la cuenca del lago Titicaca (Altipiano Andino)'.
Specialization:
- Wet lab for DNA and RNA extraction, gene amplification and purification, preparation of Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) libraries and amplification of non-coding region by the use of probes.
- Phylogenetic analyses on arthropods with the use of short and long markers.
- Population genetic analyses with the use of Single-Nucleotide polymorphism (SNPs) markers.
- Use of Bioinformatic pipelines to perform the above stated analyses. Knowledge on programming languages such as: Python, Bash and R.
