Brief CV
Postdoctoral researcher in the Community Nutrition and Oxidative Stress Research Group (NUCOX), funded by the competitive postdoctoral fellowship "CONCIENCIA IdISBa: Consolidating IdISBa Science" (FOLIUM 2023) from the Health Research Institute of the Balearic Islands (IdISBa). She is also an affiliated researcher at the CIBER of Pathophysiology of Obesity and Nutrition (CIBEROBN) of the Carlos III Health Institute, a member of the University Institute for Health Sciences Research (IUNICS), and a collaborating researcher at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB).
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry from UIB. She completed two Master’s degrees: the University Master’s in Teacher Training and the University Master’s in Nutrition and Human Food at UIB. She earned her PhD in Nutrition and Food Sciences, a joint program between the University of the Balearic Islands and the University of Granada, with the distinction Excellent Cum Laude. Her thesis was funded by the competitive predoctoral “Science Law” fellowship from CIBER of the Carlos III Health Institute, and has received multiple awards: Best Thesis from IdISBa, from the Catalan Center of Nutrition of the Institute for Catalan Studies (CCNIEC), 3rd prize in the Doctoral Thesis category of the V Edition of the UIB 2030 Agenda Awards, and the Jean Dausset Award from the Royal Academy of Medicine of the Balearic Islands.
She is the author of 45 scientific publications in indexed international journals and four book chapters. She has presented 57 oral/poster communications at national and international conferences. She has participated as a researcher in various R&D&I projects funded through competitive calls from public or private institutions. Additionally, she holds certification for the handling of animals used, bred, or supplied for experimental and other scientific purposes, including teaching. She completed an international postdoctoral research stay at the University of Évora, Portugal.
Her research focuses on community nutrition, oxidative stress, the Mediterranean diet, antioxidants, inflammation, and the prevention of cardiovascular diseases, such as non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and metabolic syndrome. As of March 2025, her biometric indices are:

- WOS: h-index: 13, number of citations: 571.
She is accredited as an "Profesora Contratada Doctora" by the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA). She teaches in the Master’s in Nutrition and Human Food at UIB and has covered teaching assignments in the degrees of Medicine, Biology, and Biochemistry at UIB, as well as the degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics at the Catholic University of Ávila. She has supervised 12 Master’s Theses and 7 Degree’s Theses.
