Brief CV

Micaela Comendeiro Maaløe, PhD in Applied Economics, develops much of her work in the field of Health Economics, more specifically in the area of health policies and performance assessment of Health Services and Health Systems. Since 2013 she is a member of the Data Science for Health Services and Policy Research of the Aragonese Institute of Health Sciences (IACS), being part of the research group of the projects: Atlas VPM (Atlas de variaciones en la práctica clínica del SNS), ECHO/BRIDGE HEALTH (European Collaboration for Healthcare Optimization/BRIDging Information and Data Generation for Evidence-based Health policy and research), CHRODIS JA (Joint Action addressing chronic diseases and promoting healthy ageing across the life cycle). She was a research associate of REDISSEC (Red de Investigación en Servicios de Salud en Enfermedades Crónicas) and she is currently a research associate of RICAPPS (Red para la Investigación en Cronicidad, Atención Primaria y Promoción de la Salud) of the Instituto de Salud Carlos III. She is also a member of the teaching team of the Department of Applied Economics at the University of the Balearic Islands, in the area of microeconomics between 2005-2017 and since 2020 in the area of econometrics.
