I teach at the Faculty of Nursing and Physiotherapy and at the Faculty of Medicine, in the Physiotherapy and Medicine Degrees, mainly to the subject of Public Health and Epidemiology.. I also teach the University Master's Degree Research and Innovation in Health and the University Master's Degree Research in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences (Faculty of Education)

Graduated in Medicine and Surgery (1989) from the University of Granada and specialist in Physical Education and Sports Medicine (2002). Postgraduate in Pedagogical Aptitude (1993). PhD from the University of the Balearic Islands (2004) in the UIB doctoral program in Basic Medical Sciences. President of the Spanish Network of Health Promoting Universities (REUPS).

Researcher in charge of the Global Health, Lifestyles and Health research group of IDISBA. Collaborating member of the UIB Global Health and Sustainable Human Development research group.

As a result of his research activity, more than sixty articles have been published in indexed international journals and he has participated in more than one hundred national and international conferences. He has directed more than ten doctoral theses. He has participated in numerous research projects at the regional, national and European level and in university development cooperation projects (Ecuador, Nicaragua, Brazil and Bolivia). I have three six-year research terms and one transfer period.
