Brief CV

Professor Titular d'Universitat in the area of ​​Physics of Condensed Matter. Master (Llicenciat) in Physics in 1998 and in Chemistry in 2003 at UIB with the special distinction award. Doctor in Physics at UIB in 2005. Between 2006 and 2011 he developed his research and teaching activity in Germany: first at the Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies (FIAS, Goethe Universität, Frankfurt am Main) and later at the Institute for Computational Physics (University of Stuttgart). At the end of 2010 he returned to the UIB where he joined the Physics Department as a PhD Assistant Professor while also working as a postdoctoral researcher at IFISC. In 2015, he began a postdoctoral contract with the CAIB to dedicate himself exclusively to research, and rejoined the Physics department in September 2016 as an Interim Contracted Professor. In 2021 he obtained the position of Professor Titular d'Universitat at the UIB.


Co-author of more than 50 publications in prestigious international journals, and co-author of a textbook on differential equations for undergraduate students. His current field of research is soft matter as well as biophysics. Particular topics of interest are: the physics of polymers and colloids, the study of the endothelial glycocalyx, and the design of new numerical algorithms that allow to study these systems in a much more efficient way.
