Joan Carles Simó Artero with ID 18937564P, natural Almassora (Castelló) and resident in Sóller (Illes Balears) graduated in Classical Philology, specializing in Latin from the University of Valencia; degree in Catalan Philology from the same university; Master of Journalism and Communication at the UIB, Doctor in Philosophy and Letters by the UIB with the thesis 'Latin edition and critical review of the work of Ramon Llull, Ars ad faciendum et soluendum quaestiones.'

Research line: Ramon Llull; editions of the works of Ramon Llull; classical languages ​​(Latin and Greek); critical editions of medieval and classical texts.

He is currently preparing the publication of the work of Ramon Llull 'Art de fer e solre questions.'

He collaborates with the Raimundus Lullus Institute of the University of Freiburg (Germany) in the edition of the Latin work of R. Llull.

He has taught at the UIB and teaches in the Department of Catalan Philology and General Linguistics. Subjects: General linguistics, General syntax, Applied Linguistics, Language skills of elementary school students, The classical roots of catalan culture.

He teaches in the first two summer courses at the UIB on Ramon Llull and the various courses open University.

He is a high school teacher IES Guillem Colom Casasnovas Soller in matters of Latin, Greek and classical culture. He has participated in various seminars and courses on educational innovation.

He is president of Parodos, Balearic Institute of Classical Theatre, which organizes an annual theater festival of Greek and Latin Balearic Islands since 1997. The UIB has signed a collaboration agreement with the Institute in 2016.
