I have received the B.S. degree in Mathematics from the UAB and the Ph. D. degree in Computer Science from the UIB in 1981 and 1990, respectively. I am working as a teacher and a researcher at the UIB since 1983 and I am currently a full professor at this University. During this time I have taught several courses in different degrees (like for instance Algebra, Linear Algebra, Affine and Metric Geometry, Discrete mathematics, Mathematical Analysis and so on) and also in Ph. Degrees and Masters.
Regarding my research activity, I am a member of the SCOPIA research group and I am currently working on Fuzzy Sets Theory and related fields (mainly fuzzy connectives, fuzzy implication functions, aggregation functions, functional equations and applications to image processing). I have been the advisor of three Ph. D. Thesis and a Master's Degree Project on these topics, I am the author or co-author of more than 90 papers in journals listed in the JCR and also of more than 120 congress communications.
