PhD in Physics by the University of the Balearic Islands, Spain. Postdoctoral research fellow at the University of St. Andrews, Scotland, UK. Astronomy and Astrophysics lecturer (1998-2009) and professor (2009-) at the University of the Balearic Islands. More than 140 publications in refereed journals. Principal investigator of 5 research projects. Supervisor of 7 PhD theses and 9 MSc theses. Research topics: coronal rain and thermal non-equilibrium, solar spicules, statistical properties of solar activity, magnetic Rossby waves, oscillations of prominences and coronal loops.
