Physiotherapy is the study and application of physical methods and agents aimed at promoting and maintaining health, preventing and treating illness, and recovery and rehabilitation of people throughout their lives. This requires expert attention be provided to those who are healthy as well as those suffering from some type of abnormality, deficiency, functional limitation, disability, handicap, or other physical or health affliction via specific methods, procedures, techniques, and instruments.

Physiotherapy, as a profession, has deep roots in European countries; it is a closed regulated health profession that works within its own sphere, as defined by the healthcare standards law.

This physiotherapy deree complies with Order CIN/2135/2008 of 3 July, BOE (Official State Gazette) of 19 July 2008.
