Research lines:

• Taxon and concepts definition; application of novel technologies, development of genetic data bases and their application in bacterial taxonomy; ecological characteristics
• Analyses of microbial communities and ecologically relevant model organisms and assessment of the ecological frame (physical, chemical and biological)
• Application of 'omics2 technologies in environmental mcrobiology (genomics, proteomics, transcriptomicas, metagenomics)
