Antonio J. Colom Caņellas, (Palma de Mallorca, 1946), BA and PhD in Education from the University of Barcelona won the special award of both degrees. He is currently a faculty member, section of Philosophy and Social Sciences, the National Academy of Catalunya and is also from the 32 years, professor of Theory of Education of the University of the Balearic Islands, where it has been: director department, (instituting studies Educational Sciences), director of ICE (Institute for Science Education) and dean of Faculty. Author or coauthor of more than 320 titles of books and articles, has published work in 10 countries and six languages. He has developed training activity in the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, Chile, Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay.
His research focuses on the pedagogical epistemology, history and contemporary thought of nonformal education and social education. Advisor to the Ministry of Education on evaluation, is part of the editorial boards of 20 journals specialized domestic and foreign well as the publisher Armand Colin Paris. It has been biografiado in the International Who's Who in Education, University of Cambridge (U.K.); He has also been invited by various American and European universities professor and collaborator of UNESCO and OEI.
