Brief CV

Full Professor of Civil Law.

She holds a degree in Law from the UIB and has two postgraduate degrees and has been a Doctor in Law since 2000 with the highest qualification: outstanding 'cum laude' unanimously.

She is the author of 5 monographs: Arrendamientos de local de negocio celebrados con anterioridad al 9 de mayo de 1985 en la LAU de 1994, Trivium, Madrid, 2001, 456 pp; Los elementos definitorios de las arras en el Derecho Patrimonial, Centro de Estudios Registrales, Madrid, 2004, 252 pp; El principio de irretroactividad: problemática general, Dykinson, Madrid, 2006, 160 pp; La nulidad del testamento o disposiciones testamentarias, Aranzadi, Navarra, 2011, 203 pp; La actual configuración jurídica del interés del menor. De la discrecionalidad a la concreción, Aranzadi, Navarra, 2019, 315 pp.

Director and Coordinator of the collective work: El principio de igualdad ante el Derecho Privado: una visión multidisciplinar, Dykinson, Madrid, 2013, 288 pp. She is also the author of a considerable number of indexed scientific publications, some 60 book chapters and 40 doctrinal articles on different areas of Civil Law published in prestigious publishing houses and scientific journals.

She has participated in congresses, conferences, summer courses, etc., most of them of an international nature, having given more than 50 papers, communications and lectures. She has also been awarded various prizes, such as the Luis Pascual González Prize awarded by the Real Academia de Jurisprudencia y Legislación.

Since the beginning of her university career, she has participated continuously in research projects and contracts obtained in public calls. She has been Principal Investigator of an interdisciplinary and interuniversity R&D Project of the Ministry of Science and Innovation. She is the Principal Investigator of a Research Group. And, she is a member of the group for the reform and updating of Private Law in Spain ('Actualiza'), recognised by the CRUE. She has also directed various conferences, summer courses and training courses. She is an external evaluator of three legal journals and a regular contributor to another one.

She has carried out research stays at the Facultà di Giurisprudenza de la Università degli studi di Firenze (Italy), at the Faculdade de Direito da Universidade do Porto (Portugal) and at the Centro di ricerca interdipartimentale per la tutela della persona del minore, Università degli Studi di Roma 'La Sapienza' (Italy). He has been awarded three consecutive six-year research periods by the CNEAI, four teaching periods (quinquenniums) and the research excellence complement.

As for his teaching work, he has taught in the Bachelor's Degree in Law, Bachelor's Degree in Law, Double Degree in Business Administration and Law, Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management, Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies, Bachelor's Degree in Tourism and Bachelor's Degree in Labour Relations. She has also taught in different Official Master's Degrees and Specialised Degrees. She has been the Principal Investigator of two Teaching Innovation Projects and Collaborator in seven. She has supervised 2 doctoral theses and multiple TFG.

She has held various university management positions, among others: Deputy Director of the Department of Private Law, Academic Secretary and has served as Director of the Department of Private Law at the UIB. She has also been the Coordinator of the external Practicum, courts branch, at the UIB.

Alternate Magistrate of the Provincial Court of the Balearic Islands from 2011 to 2018.

She is a member of the Association of Civil Law Professors, of the Institute for the Development of Family Law in Spain... And, of the body of external evaluators of AGAUR.
