What career opportunities will you have?
The Master's Degree in Occupational Health (Occupational Hazard Prevention) from the University of the Balearic Islands enables the professional exercise of higher-level preventive functions, by virtue of the provisions established in Royal Decree 39/1997, which approves the Regulations of Prevention Services.
Hazard prevention technicians have access to employment opportunities in many areas of the labour market. Their most specific dedication is in the prevention services, both in the companies' own prevention services and in the external ones that provide services to the companies that hire them. Due to the cross-cutting training that these studies involve, the instruction provided in this master's degree is also suitable as a training complement for professionals working in a wide range of fields connected to the prevention of occupational hazards, such as construction technicians, health workers, staff and human resources managers, work team coordinators, etc.
High-quality official study
Legislation requires that official Spanish degree programmes receive a positive assessment from the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA, by its Spanish acronym). This process is known as verification, and it serves to ensure that education programmes are properly designed to provide the competencies and reach the learning goals around which the programmes are built. In the results you can find reports on official study programmes.
The European Higher Education Area requires that there be a system in place to ensure the quality of degree programmes .
The Master's programme is subject to constant assessment and improvement processes that guarantee that it maintains a certain level of prestige and renown in Europe. You can see the results of the assessment processes in the section on quality .
