ANEP Area: Plant and animal biology, ecology
Research lines:
- Evaluation of concepts and definition of bacterial taxa; application of new techniques (MLSA, comparative genomics) and development of genetic databases and their application in taxonomy; definition of ecological characteristics
- Analysis of microbial communities and ecologically relevant organisms (Pseudomonas, Roseobacter, Salinibacter), as well as the study of their environment (physical and chemical constraints)
- Microbiology of environmental pollution; modelling for predicting coastal pollution
