Dr María Antonia García Sastre
Born in Palma de Mallorca (1966). Associate Professor in the Department of Economics and Business of the Universitat de les Illes Balears. Degree in Economics and Business Administration (1989). Master of Business Administration (MBA) Polytecnhic Middlesex Business School, London. (1990). PhD in Economics and Business Administration (1998 ). Master in new technologies for the comprehensive management of the company: SAP R / 3 (1999).
Teaching experience in undergraduate , graduate and postgraduate UIB and other universities. The subjects taught were Marketing I, Marketing II, Financial Marketing, Marketing of Food and Beverage at the Faculty of Economics and Business, School of Tourism and Hotel School of Illes Balears. He has also taught doctoral courses at universities in Argentina and Brazil.
Research: its research focus on new tourism products and innovation and competitiveness of the sector and the field of educational excellence. He has published in various journals of national and international level and several book chapters.
He is a member of the Research Group Competitive Research 4MAC tourist and educational research and has collaborated on several research projects both nationally and internationally.
He is currently directing a thesis and course Postgraduate Digital Marketing and Community Management.
