The UIB offers quality studies that cover a wide and varied field of knowledge. As exchange students, you can access one of the following studies:
In the Balearic Islands there are two official languages that live together: Catalan and Spanish. Both are used in all areas of public and private life. This indistinct use of Catalan and Spanish is also found at the UIB. Lecturers may teach their classes in the language they feel more comfortable, and students may also do the same when it comes to writing up work or sitting exams.
In order to help your adaptation to these two languages, the SRI organizes Catalan and Spanish courses for exchange students. During the welcome activities organized by the SRI the level tests are carried out in order to organize the different groups according to people’s knowledge of the language. The registration fees for these courses can be consulted at the SRI.

The UIB, through the International Relations Office, organizes a programme of welcome and orientation for mobility students during the period before classes start, in order to provide a first contact with the University, the city of Palma and our culture in general.
The programme is made up of a series of information meetings complemented by cultural activities, with the aim of mobility students getting to know each other and their tutors, heads of departments and the staff at the SRI.
